If it makes you feel any better...

Remember that one day in class in which you meant to say "symbolism" and accidentally said "symbology" instead?

My professor said "symbology" in class today. Twice.

    I'm so confused. Am I stupid? Or just missing something? The definitions you linked didn't have any provocative registers.

    Have you seen Boondock Saints? Willem Dafoe rips a new one into some cop for saying "symbology" instead of "symbolism." Great movie. Great scene.
